Richard Hilton
President, Senior Industrial Hygienist 
CRSP, NCSO

Richard is a seasoned Health, Safety, and Environment professional with a proven track record in developing safety programs for large, multi-site organizations. His expertise spans fall protection, respirator and confined space checks, hazardous materials exposure, and risk assessments.

He also instructs courses in mobile equipment operations, fall protection, TDG, and WHMIS, and holds three safety designations: CRSP, NCSO, and MSO.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys skiing, mountain biking, swimming, and camping.

Patrick DeFoe
Project Manager
West Kootenay Field Technician

Patrick is our project manager as well as our West Kootenay field technician. Patrick is certified as a Hazardous Materials Building Inspector and conducts a variety of sampling and monitoring for FirstPhase Consulting.

After concluding his culinary career, Patrick followed his passion for the outdoors into environmental studies at Selkirk College where he completed the Integrated Environmental Planning program. This led him to the West Kootenay, where is often found playing hockey, skiing the slopes, or hiking with his dog.

Geoffrey Richards
Lab Manager 

Geoffrey is our Lab Manager and is NIOSH 582 equivalency-certified for air monitoring and EPA 600/R-93/116 Certified in Bulk Asbestos Analysis.

 

He comes from a head chef background, and has successfully led numerous teams in all areas of the kitchen. In his spare time, Geoffrey coaches the Kimberley Nordic Race Team with everything from running, biking, skiing and rollerskiing.

Connor Munday
Field Lead (East Kootenay)
Energy Advisor

Connor is our field lead in the East Kootenays. Connor is certified as a Hazardous Materials Building Inspector and conducts our sampling and inspections in the local area.

Connor has a background in Lab work, and a bachelor's in Math and Physics. In his spare time he enjoys getting out and exploring the local hiking trails with his wife, or spending time on his hobbies, such as painting and Warhammer

Jacquelyn Diveky-Wells

Field Technician (East Kootenay)

Jacquelyn is our newest field technician in the East Kootenay but is quickly becoming one of our best technician.
She enjoys all aspects of consulting. She has a background in horticulture, sanitation, pharmaceuticals, and is eager to hone in on her background of experience here with the FirstPhase team.

 

Outside of work she enjoys blogging, art history, checking out the catalogues and archives in a museum or library, and going on hikes with her local nature group.

Alvin Tan
Field Technician (Okanagan)

Alvin is our fresh face in the Okanagan expansion, certified as a Hazardous Materials
Building Inspector, and has worked in multiple consulting firms before becoming part of
the team.

Following his studies at UBC in Bachelors in Environmental Science, he immediately
began working in the hazardous materials industry and never looked back since.

He also has multiple artistic hobbies such as street dancing and making music.

Ryan Lund
Field Technician (East Kootenay)

Ryan Lund is a Field Technician, Home Inspector, and Abatement Specialist originally from the Lower Mainland. He and his family recently relocated to the East Kootenays, where they’re building a simpler and more prosperous life.

With hands-on experience in inspection and abatement work.

 

Ryan brings a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality to every project.
